During their final year, selected B Cur Nursing students assist in the primary health care clinic on the Phelophepa Health Train, that takes much neededhealth care and educationto rural areas within South Africa that don't have access to national health services. The student nurses assist with the clinical assessment diagnosing and treatment of patients who seek health care services at the train. Phelophepa is a health train in South Africa, supported by the Canon Collins Trust and driven by Transnet of South Africa to help the rural people of South Africa get in touch with much needed health care.

Phelophepa aspire to deliver an affordable, accessible, mobile health care service that supplements or supports existing facilities in the rural communities of South Africa.
