As part of our milestone anniversary, we recently hosted a Networking Breakfast for departmental and Faculty staff, nursing graduates, practice partners, and all those who have contributed meaningfully to the life and work of the Department of Nursing Science. This event took place on 09 September 2025 in Gqeberha, South Africa.
This gathering was an opportunity to honour the many individuals who have shaped our department over the past fifty years, through leadership, teaching, research, practice, and collaboration, and to celebrate the excellence, innovation, and impact that continue to define our collective work.
We wish to congratulate the following individuals who were announced as winners in respective categories of the Nursing Excellence Awards, which form part of our 50th anniversary celebrations. We recognise the high regard in which these professional nurses are held and acknowledge their valuable contribution to the field of nursing and our department.
