Joanne Naidoo

Prof Joanne Naidoo is a full professor who has over 20 years’ experience in higher education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and then Nelson Mandela University prior to joining Life Healthcare as Research Manager. Professor Naidoo has served as the founding Director of Research (2020-2022) for the Faculty of Health Sciences and continues to serve on the Faculty of Health Sciences Research and Ethics committee at Nelson Mandela University. Prof Naidoo has a research interest on stigmatized illnesses and evidence informed nursing practice demonstrated in the successful supervision of masters and doctoral students whose work reflects the shared research focus. Further to her role as a researcher, Prof Naidoo has been involved in designing and implementing postgraduate nursing programmes locally and internationally and serves as external examiner for various universities nationally and internationally.
