Ms Claudine Wittenschinskey is a lecturer of the Department of Nursing Science, and has worked in academia for the past six years. Her research interest is in the area of general nursing science and nursing education, with a specific focus on teaching strategies with a preference for qualitative research.

Ms Wittenschinskey enjoys research and is currently supervising multiple undergraduate projects.  Her teaching focus area is Comprehensive Nursing Practice which she facilitates in the undergraduate programmes. She uses a blended teaching approach with the aim of creating learning opportunities on various platforms that will increase the student’s level of competence. She values other teaching approaches such as group discussions,  online or face to face increases which enhances teamwork and peer support during work integrated learning.
