Ms Nomandla Mrwetyana-Mlungu is a lecturer of the Department of Nursing Science, and has worked in academia for the past 12 years. Her research interest is in the area of mental health nursing, with a specific focus on mental health related to childhood disabilities, caregivers of children with childhood disabilities with a preference for qualitative research, particularly phenomenology.
Ms Mrwetyana-Mlungu enjoys research supervision and is currently supervising 2 Masters and multiple undergraduate projects. Her teaching focus area is Mental Health Nursing and Blended teaching approaches which she facilitates in the undergraduate programmes. She has been involved in the curriculum development and design for the postgraduate diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
