Mrs Bernardene Adams is a lecturer of the Department of Nursing Science, and has worked in academia for the past 8 years. Her research interest is in the area of Clinical practical and general nursing science and midwifery with a specific focus on ICU education, with a preference for qualitative research.

Mrs Bernardene Adams enjoys research supervision and is currently supervising two Masters and multiple undergraduate projects.  Her teaching focus area is General Nursing Science which she facilitates in the undergraduate programmes. She uses a lecture – based and cooperative teaching approach with the aim of getting students involved and to deliver content in a structured and informative manner. She has been involved in the curriculum development and design for Postgraduate Nephrology Nursing.
