Ms Zukiswa Ntlokonkulu is a lecturer of the Department of Nursing Science, and has worked in academia for the past 11 years. Her research interest is in the area of nursing education and general nursing science, with a specific focus on Nephrology, simulation-based education, and interprofessional education with a preference for qualitative research, particularly Interpretative phenomenological analysis.

Ms Ntlokonkulu enjoys postgraduate research supervision and is currently supervising two Masters and multiple undergraduate projects.  Her teaching focus area is clinical nursing education, particularly student accompaniment and simulation, which she facilitates in the undergraduate and post graduate programmes. She uses a problem-based learning teaching approach with the aim of enhancing critical thinking and problem solving. She has been involved in the curriculum development and design for post graduate diplomas.
